Winelovers rendez-vous 6th and 7th september 2008

VINEA is the not-to-be-missed winelovers’ fair in Switzerland. Every year during the first weekend in September thousands of people interested in the world of wine crowd into the impressive open-air winebar that features some 130 winemakers. The tasting stands, covered by white tent tops, run the length of the main street of Sierre, a small city surrounded by vine-covered hillsides. VINEA is also a wine expertise centre which specialiazes in wine competitions.

The Tasting passport (CHF 30.- / day) allows you to taste more than 1500 wines of some forty different grape varieties.Each person receives, at the entrance, a VINEA glass and a booklet for taking notes on the wines in order to help them later recall their impressions and to bring back memories of wonderful wines sampled.
